Most trade wars end in real wars or some government change. By noting the timeline, we can compare how fast such effects will occur from then and now.

- Aug 23 – US 25% tariff part 2
- Sept 17 – US 25% tariff part 3
- Sept 18 – China 10% tariff on US goods
- Sept 24 – US 25% tariff part 3 implementation
- 2022 – US 15% tariff on solar panels
